BACKPACK BUDDY PROGRAM

This is a program to meet the needs of kids at Anne Mason Elementary School who may not get enough to eat on the weekends. You can help by providing nutritious food that is easy for kids to open/prepare. (Think individual portion packages.) Bring it whenever is convenient for you. It will be taken to the school every Thursday and backpacks will be prepared. On Fridays, the backpacks are sent home with many children, who return them after the weekend. Suggestions include: beans and weenies, fruit cups, microwavable meals or soups, nutritional bars, etc.
